PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Virginia "Ginny" Halter, 75, of Perryville died Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 10, 1934, in St. Louis, daughter of Henry and Helen Renner Bohnert. She married Hubert Halter on May 15, 1954, at Biehle, Mo.
Halter worked in the dietary department at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of St. Maurus Catholic Church in Biehle and the Ladies Sodality.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Michael Halter of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Gayle Blevins of St. Louis; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a daughter.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Saturday. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, with the Rev. Jerome Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in St. Maurus Catholic Cemetery at Biehle.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
