ANNA, Ill. -- Virginia Lee Gunn, 89, of Houston, formerly of Anna, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the Oddyssey House Hospice Center in Conroe, Texas. She was born July 7, 1918, in Marion, Ill., daughter of Thomas Fred and Rona Williams Simpson. She and Harry Gunn were married in 1950. He died in 1995...

ANNA, Ill. -- Virginia Lee Gunn, 89, of Houston, formerly of Anna, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at the Oddyssey House Hospice Center in Conroe, Texas.

She was born July 7, 1918, in Marion, Ill., daughter of Thomas Fred and Rona Williams Simpson. She and Harry Gunn were married in 1950. He died in 1995.

Survivors include three cousins, Charles Ferguson of Harrisburg, Ill., Melissa VanSteen of The Woodlands, Texas, and Martha Ferguson of Anna.

She was preceded in death by an infant son and two brothers.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Anna Cemetery, with the Rev. Randy Carstens officiating.

Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
