MORLEY, Mo. -- Virginia "Ginny" Grant, 66, of Morley passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 16, 1943, at Morley, to the late Raymond and Lucille Isaacs Emerson Jr.
Ginny owned Morley Cafe the past several years. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth (Tim) McIntyre of Bell City, Mo., Laura (Blain) Gilliam of Fort Smith, Ark.; a son, Steven Pobst of Sikeston, Mo.; two brothers, Jim Emerson of Chaffee, Mo., Bradley Emerson of Kennett, Mo.; four sisters, Brenda Swepker of Morley, Glenda Emerson of Scott City, Cheryl Young of Virginia Beach, Va., Kay Emerson of Scott City; six grandchildren, Lundi and Andrew McIntyre, Grant and Lexie Schweer, Kirby Gilliam and Blake Pobst; and a good friend, Cletus James of Morley.
A sister, Florence, preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Mo.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Simmons officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to the Lutheran Home Hospice Fund.
