ST. LOUIS -- Virginia Marguerite Gloeckner, 89, of the Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Home in St. Louis, formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, July 20, 1996, at the home. She was born Feb. 11, 1907, at Ancell, daughter of the late Joseph H. and Alice Rosmerski Mirgeaux. She married Albert A. Gloeckner on Oct. 7, 1925. He died Sept. 28, 1948...

ST. LOUIS -- Virginia Marguerite Gloeckner, 89, of the Bethesda Dilworth Memorial Home in St. Louis, formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, July 20, 1996, at the home.

She was born Feb. 11, 1907, at Ancell, daughter of the late Joseph H. and Alice Rosmerski Mirgeaux. She married Albert A. Gloeckner on Oct. 7, 1925. He died Sept. 28, 1948.

Gloeckner had been a nurse's assistant at St. Mary's Health Center in St. Louis and was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in St. Louis.

She is survived by a son, James A. Gloeckner of St. Louis; two brothers, Joseph L. Mirgeaux of Cape Girardeau and James Mirgeaux of Kelso; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Pat Wissman officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
