JONESBORO, Ill. -- Virginia Denges, 94, of Jonesboro died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at Jonesboro Health Care Center.
She was born Oct. 1, 1908, in Knightsville, Ind., daughter of Alex and Janet Spence Lawson.
Denges was formerly of Indianapolis, Ind., and retired from National City Bank in Indianapolis.
She was a member of Wall Street Presbyterian Church, Brookside Chapter Order of Eastern Star in Indianapolis, and was a past high priestess of Tarum Court of Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America.
Survivors include a daughter, Janet Capel of Anna, Ill.; a sister, Mary Myers of Anderson, Ind.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and after noon Monday at Rose Lawn Cemetery Chapel in Terre Haute, Ind.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Kim Capel officiating Burial will be Rose Lawn Cemetery.
