PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Virginia Lee Clifton, 91, of Perryville passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital. She was born July 27, 1931, in Arbor to Eddie and Marie Bond Baker. PERRYVILLE, Mo. — Virginia Lee Clifton, 91, of Perryville passed away Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 27, 1931, in Arbor to Eddie and Marie Bond Baker. They both preceded her in death. Virginia and Lloyd Don Clifton were married July 27, 1978, in Naylor, Missouri.

She was a member of Arbor Baptist Church in the early years, with the Baker family being one of the founding families. Currently, she was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Crosstown, Missouri. She was retired from Procter & Gamble. She also volunteered at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville for many years.

In the past, she enjoyed traveling extensively with Don on their Goldwing motorcycle, fishing regularly with friends and family in the Great Lakes, hunting with Don, harvesting numerous deer and turkey and camping with her grandkids.

Survivors include a sister, Vicki Lange of Scott City; two sons, Scott McNeely of Jackson and Keith (Valerie) McNeely of Springdale, Arkansas; stepdaughter, Joy Schaupert of Perryville; stepson, Kevin (Karen) Clifton of Perryville; and numerous grandchildren, nephews, nieces and great-grandchildren she loved deeply.

Virginia was preceded in death by three brothers, Marion, James and Billy Baker; and a sister, LaNora Jean Baker Blumer Walker.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Ford and Young Funeral Home in Perryville.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary Tyler officiating. Burial will be at Bethlehem Baptist Cemetery in Crosstown immediately following the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 160 PCR 350, Perryville, MO 63775.
