MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Virginia Alta Marie Brown, 80, of Marble Hill died Thursday, April 19, 2007, at her home.
She was born March 18, 1927, at Glenallen, Mo., daughter of William H. and Virgie May Sample Crites. She and Floyd E. Brown were married Sept. 28, 1944, in Paragould, Ark. He died Oct. 15, 2004.
Brown was a former cook at Copper Skillet Grill. She was a member of Mount Zion General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Brown of Valmeyer, Ill., Dennis Brown of Marble Hill; a sister, Joyce Johnson of Marble Hill; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to service time Saturday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel.
The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Darrell Faire Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
