VIRGINIA BECK

Virginia Lee Lathom Beck, 69, of Matthews, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 1998, at her home.

She was born March 12, 1929, in Sikeston, daughter of Oscar Earl and Mary Lee Kincy Lathom.

She married Walter Lee Beck Nov. 24, 1949, at Sikeston. He died June 15, 1992.

Survivors include a son, Lee Beck of Matthews; three daughters, Cheryl Lathum of Sikeston, Ann Porter and Rochelle Beck, both of Matthews; three sisters, Martha May Clay of Norfolk, Va., Margaret Bizzell of Sikeston and Laura Jo Haubold of Portageville; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, grandson and great-grandson.

Service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Geers officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.
