Viona Walker

DEXTER -- Viona M. Walker, 72, of Dexter died Monday, Oct. 6, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.

She was born Jan. 1, 1925, at Lavalle, daughter of Len and Clara Casey Wilburn. She first married Wilmur Brown in 1941. He died Nov. 5, 1974. She and Jesse Edward Walker were married in 1975 in Corning, Ark. He died April 30, 1992.

Walker had lived at Dexter since 1982.

Survivors include three sons, Mike Brown of Dexter, Gary Brown of New Madrid, Delbert Brown of Goldendale, Wash.; four daughters, Sandy Brown of Dexter, Janice Martin of Bloomfield, Carol Heflin of Cape Girardeau, Debbie Jaynes of Oak Grove; a sister, Leona Hunt of Dexter; 24 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, and three brothers.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Hook officiating. Burial will be in Hagy Cemetery.
