PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Violet A. Williams, 94, of Perryville died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at her home.
She was born Dec. 2, 1912, in Ina, Ill., daughter of Ira J. and Mary Manesse Fowler Proffer. She and Lonnie R. Williams were married Sept. 21, 1929. He died May 26, 1990.
Williams retired as a shoe factory vamper. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in St. Mary, Mo.
Survivors include two daughters, Neoma Difani and Vida Yamnitz of Perryville; a son, Calvin Williams of Ina; three sisters, Lillie Davie and Wanda Winschel of Cape Girardeau, Clela Yamnitz of Columbia, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, two stepbrothers and two stepsisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Estes officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Fork Cemetery.
