CHAFFEE -- Funeral service for Violet M. Schoen of Chaffee will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Christian Church. The Rev. Larry Gray will officiate, with burial in St. Ambrose Catholic Cemetery.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today.
Schoen, 79, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 1997, at her home.
She was born April 16, 1917, at Dutchtown, daughter of Charles and Flo Wilson Washer. She and William Marcus Schoen were married June 8, 1940. He died July 19, 1983.
Schoen was a cutter at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee, retiring in 1976. She was a member of First Christian Church and Chaffee VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include a foster daughter, Phyllis Welter of Scott City; a sister, Fern Parks of Akron, Ohio; a half sister, Connie Holland of Cairo, Ill.; three half brothers, Harvey Washer of Sikeston, Doug Washer of Kansas City, Jerry Washer of Georgia; her stepmother, Mattie Washer of Sikeston; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
