PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Viola E. Yamnitz, 85, of Perryville died Sunday, April 20, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 6, 1929, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of August and Albertine Behrle Clements.
She and Dalvin Yamnitz were married April 17, 1948. He survives in Perryville.
Viola was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
Other survivors include nine daughters and four sons, Melba (George) Wilmarth, June (Dave) Ernst, Robert (Marilyn) Yamnitz, William (Lynn) Yamnitz, Linda (Brad) Riney, Elizabeth (Rick) Taylor, Jim (Cindy) Yamnitz, Susan Yamnitz, Carolyn (Leon) Spencer, Ed (Jennifer) Yamnitz, Donna (Alan) Ford, Kim (Neal) Kaempfe and Lisa Shedd; 34 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; and 12 great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Marilyn Yamnitz; one granddaughter, Kristen Yamnitz; one great-grandchild, Xavier Basler; three brothers; two infant brothers; and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home, with eulogies beginning at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jim French officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Perry County Relay for life or the American Heart Association.
