BENTON -- Viola Stuckey, 91, of Benton, died Wednesday, June 14, 1995, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee. She was born Oct. 11, 1903, at Edith, daughter of Samuel and Susan LeFevre Riggs. She and Clarence Stewart Stuckey were married Aug. 19, 1920. He died Aug. 1, 1955...

BENTON -- Viola Stuckey, 91, of Benton, died Wednesday, June 14, 1995, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee.

She was born Oct. 11, 1903, at Edith, daughter of Samuel and Susan LeFevre Riggs. She and Clarence Stewart Stuckey were married Aug. 19, 1920. He died Aug. 1, 1955.

Stuckey had farmed in the Benton area, and was a member of Unity Baptist Church.

Survivors include eight sons, Stewart Stuckey of Donalds, S.C., Jim Stuckey of Dallas, Texas, Frank Stuckey of Union, Charles Stuckey of Ballwin, Harold Stuckey of Rockford, Ill., John Stuckey of Holts Summit, Paul and Joe Stuckey of Benton; three daughters, Mildred Schiwitz of Benton, Juanita South of Fisk, Shae Pack of Ballwin; 39 grandchildren, and 48 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, three sisters, a half sister, three half brothers and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton after 4 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Unity Church, with the Rev. Dale Huff officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery at Charleston.
