Funeral service for Viola "Vickie" Pfeil of Irving, Texas, was held Monday at St. Dominick Catholic Church in St. Louis. The Rev. Edward Feuerbacher officiated, with burial in Jefferson Barracks Cemetery
Hoffmeister Funeral Home in St. Louis was in charge of arrangements.
Pfeil, 71, died Thursday, June 17, 1993, at Irving Medical Center.
She was born April 17, 1922, in Perry County, daughter of George E. and Mabel Wills Huber. She and Lawrence Pfeil were married in October 1964 in St. Louis. He died July 15, 1976.
Pfeil worked two years with the Civil Service in the shipyards in Oakland, Calif., during World War II., along with her father and sister, Peggy. She later established and owned Vickie's Health and Beauty Salon in Afton.
Survivors include a daughter, Judith Reynolds of Irving; a brother, George Huber Jr. of Carlisle, Pa.; two sisters, Edna "Peggy" Bruckerhoff of St. Marys, Betty Smith of Cape Girardeau, and two grandsons.
