Viola Morrow, 94, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, at the Lutheran Home. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 9-10:45 a.m. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lorimier Cemetery. The Rev. Jay White will officiate...

Viola Morrow, 94, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2001, at the Lutheran Home.

Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 25, 2001, at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home from 9-10:45 a.m.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lorimier Cemetery. The Rev. Jay White will officiate.

Mrs. Morrow was born Viola Goss Sept. 14, 1907, to Ammon and Sirena Brown Goss in Cape Girardeau. She married Louis Morrow in 1927. They had one son, Jimmy Louis Morrow.

In addition to raising her son, Mrs. Morrow was employed many years as a bookkeeper for Sunny Hill Dairy. She was a devout Christian and lifelong member of First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Morrow was preceded in death by her husband and son.

She leaves behind a sister, Mary Hunt of Cape Gir-ardeau; granddaughters, Catherine Morrow Jarrell and husband Samuel of Leawood, Kan., and Susan Elise Amelunke and husband David and their children Caitlyn and Michael of Piedmont, Mo. She is also survived by a niece, Lila Underwood and husband Albert and their family of Jackson, Mo., and a nephew, Charles Morrow and wife Vicky of Peoria, Ill., as well as many other family members and friends.

Mrs. Morrow's greatest joys were her family and friends. She continued to stay in touch with longtime friends as well as making new friends throughout her life. She will be dearly missed.
