Viola Witt Morrison, 89, of Kelso, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Aug. 27, 1915, at St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of the late Louis and Helen Loncaric Perhat. She and Stephen B. Witt were married July 17, 1943, at St. Louis. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1980. She later married Lynnwood Morrison on Feb. 26, 1989, at Kelso. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1999...

Viola Witt Morrison, 89, of Kelso, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 27, 1915, at St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of the late Louis and Helen Loncaric Perhat. She and Stephen B. Witt were married July 17, 1943, at St. Louis. He preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 1980. She later married Lynnwood Morrison on Feb. 26, 1989, at Kelso. He preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1999.

Morrison had been employed as a seamstress at Famous Barr in St. Louis. She was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church and its Ladies Sodality in Kelso. She was also a member of Croatian Fraternal Lodge St. Jacob 167 in St. Louis and Kelso Senior Citizens.

Survivors include a niece and goddaughter, Brenda Manuwal of Rochester, Ind.; close friend and neighbor Ann Glueck of Kelso; and several cousins.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso. The Rev. Oliver Clavin will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis.
