VIOLA LAPPE

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Viola M. Lappe, 89, of Perryville died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at her home.

She was born Dec. 1, 1911, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Henry and Francis Maddock Schremp. She and Henry L. Lappe were married Oct. 19, 1930. He died July 20, 1963.

Lappe was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and St. Maurus Ladies Sodality.

Survivors include four daughters, Theresa Rinck of Mesa, Ariz., Marita McManemin of Des Plaines, Ill., Iva Lappe and Mary O'Neal of St. Louis; a son, William Lappe of Collinsville, Ill.; a sister, Marie Bendel of Eastman, Pa.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, and 6:30-9:30 a.m. Monday. The wake will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Vincent's Church. The Rev. Kevin Fausz will officiate. Burial will be in St. Maurus Cemetery at Biehle, Mo.
