Victor F. Rouviere Sr., 53, of Independence died Monday, June 9, 1997, at his home.
He was born March 5, 1944, in Topeka, Kan., son of Paul and Opal Tarbutton Rouviere. He was a graduate of Topeka High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He worked as a goldsmith in Cape Girardeau and Topeka. He worked for the Evangical Children's Home in Kansas City and lived most of his adult life in Cape Girardeau.
He married Sharon Weatherly on June 17, 1991, in Kennett, and she survives him.
He is also survived by his parents; two daughters, Angelia Eddy of Cuba and Nicole Rouviere of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Victor Rouviere Jr. of Independence and Tony Rouviere of Topeka; two step-daughters, Heather and Ashley Campbell, both of Independence; two brothers, Edward and Albert Rouviere, both of Topeka; a sister, Diane Henderson of Topeka; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Mid-Town Funeral Chapel in Topeka. Funeral service will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Topeka.
