Vicky Lou Keller, 43, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center. She had been ill 26 days.

She was born Nov. 9, 1955, in New Orleans, La., daughter of Lewis and Violet Allene Vance Ware. She and Ronald Keller were married June 7, 1975, at Gordonville.

Keller was a 1974 graduate of Central High School, and received a degree in secondary education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1978.

She was a merchandiser with Kraft Foods five years.

Keller was named an outstanding volunteer with Cape Girardeau Road Runners in 1998. She was a finisher in the Walt Disney Marathon, St. Louis Marathon, and New Orleans Mardi Gras Marathon.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Cape River City Rodders. Active in Girl Scouts, she was named an outstanding volunteer with the Cape Service Unit in 1989, received a Council Honor Pin in 1991, and received the Thanks Badge in 1995.

Keller had lived in Cape Girardeau most of her life, and had been a 4-H member.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jared Keller of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Carlen and Amber Keller of Cape Girardeau; her parents of Whitewater; and a brother, Floyd Ware of Gordonville.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. The Rev. David Hintz will officiate. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
