SCOTT CITY -- Veva Lee Baker, 84, of Scott City died Monday, May 24, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born June 1, 1914, at Kewanee, daughter of Arthur C. and Nellie B. Followwell Lancaster.
She and Truman J. Baker were married Aug. 5, 1934, at Ancell.
She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the U.T.U.
Survivors include her husband of Scott City; two sons, Truman Lee Baker of Scott City and Charles R. Baker of Aurora; four sisters, Irene Mayfield of Little Rock, Ark., Margaret Brushwood of Lutesville, Wanda Harvey and Glenda Griffin, both of Wappapello; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
