SILVER LAKE, Mo. -- Vester F. Nations, 83, of Nashville, Tenn., died Tuesday, June 26, 2007, in Nashville.
He was born in 1923 at Silver Lake, son of Charles C. and Annie Mary Yamnitz Nations. He and Evelyn Hamm were married April 27, 1946.
Nations had been a truck driver. He was a member of Whitewater Christian Church and Teamsters Union.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom Nations of Chester, Va.; a daughter, Patricia Stempien of Michigan; a sister, Esther Wisdom of Ellington, Mo.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 6:30 to 11:15 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, Mo., and also Saturday from noon to service time at Whitewater Christian Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev. Alan Martin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with military service provided by American Legion Post 133.
