VESTA O. GRAY

COBDEN, Ill. -- Vesta O. Gray, 78, of Cobden died Thursday, June 6, 1996, at the Union County Hospital in Anna.

She was born Oct. 16, 1917, at Crockett Mills, Tenn., daughter of Toby and Myrtle Moore Rogers. She and Gilbert G. Gray were married May 1938 at Malden.

Gray was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cobden and the Women's Missionary Union.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Janice Flamm of Beaver Dam, Wis.; two sons, Gilbert Gray and Roger Gray, both of Cobden; two sisters, Violet Bryant of Dallas, Ore., and Georgia Hughes of Alamo, Tenn.; a brother, James Rogers of Byhalia, Miss.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and a grandson.

Friends my call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Cobden cemetery.
