Vernon Harris Frick, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, at his residence.
He was born March 19, 1935, in St. Louis, son of Ralph Lee and Opal Leota Frick. He and Carole Jean Foster were married June 6, 1953, in St. John, Mo.
He was a member of Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills, Mo. He was a charter member of the Democrat Meet-up Group.
He is survived by his wife, sons James Frick of Nashville, Ill.; and Ralph "Vincent" Frick of Los Angeles; daughters Nancy Gress of Vincennes, Ind.; Caroline Jepson of Maryland; Natalie Frick of Seattle; three brothers, Ralph L. Frick of California; John Frick of the state of Washington; Danny Frick of Oklahoma; sister Erma Hawkins of Florida; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at 8 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons South Sprigg Street Funeral Home and from noon until service time Tuesday at Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Henry Gieschen officiating.
Burial will be at Scriptural Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery in Egypt Mills.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
