DONGOLA, Ill. -- Verneal Hileman, 81, of Route 2 Dongola died Friday, Nov. 1, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 31, 1910, in Union County, Ill., the daughter of Ira and Estelle Heiple Jordan. On April 5, 1924, she married Albert O. Hileman in Cairo, Ill. He preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1977.
She was a member of the First Lutheran church in Dongola.
Survivors include two sons, Albert Lee Hileman of Mounds, Ill. and Frank Hileman of Marion, Ill.; five daughters, Betty McCommons and Anita George, both of Dongola, Joeann Clutts of Anna, Ill. and Phyllis Reynolds and Kay Whitney, both of Jonesboro, Ill.; her step-mother, Lena Jordan of Dongola; two sisters, Norma Jennings of Rock Falls, Ill. and Mary Cunningham of Benton, Kan.; two brothers, Dariel Jordan of Anna and Webb Jordan of Dongola; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and nine great, great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons and two brothers.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. at the Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro, where funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday. William Horn will officiate, and burial will be in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola.
