Verna Weinkein

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Verna F. Weinkein, 92, of Perry County died Thursday, March 18, 2004, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Dec. 8, 1911, at Perry County, daughter of Theodore and Mary Valleroy Lukefahr. She and Wilbert Weinkein were married Sept. 6, 1941, at Perryville. He died in 1984.

She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Kay F. Naeger of St. Charles, Mo.; a sister, Maudell Balsman of Perryville; a brother, Marvin Lukefahr of Perryville; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Friends may call 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home and from 6:30 a.m. to 8:50 a.m. Tuesday. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Highland, Mo.
