VERNA MAGEE

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Verna Mildred Magee, 79, of Sikeston, Mo., died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born March 4, 1921, at Holland, Ark., daughter of William and Laura Jane Hurst Potter. She and Edward Magee were married Dec. 20, 1956, at Benton, Mo. He survives.

She had lived in the area for more than 50 years.

Other survivors include a sister, Ruby Stovall of Sikeston and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Robert Burnes officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery in Dogwood, Mo.
