VERGIE SPANE

ADVANCE -- Vergie Marie Spane, 82, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999, at the Advance Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 6, 1917, at Bell City, daughter of Josh and Dollie Lewis Kneezle. She married Freeman Edwin Spane on Nov. 27, 1935, in Benton. He died July 8, 1982.

She is survived by a son, Kenneth Edwin Spane of Advance; a daughter, Louella Lee of Troy, Ill; a brother, James Kneezle of Sikeston; six sisters, Fern Long and Inis Stamper, both of Bell City, Nona Wood of Chaffee, Alma Kneezle of Bloomfield, Barbara Lewis of Puxico and Mary Hawkins of Demopolis, Ala.; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter.

Services will be conducted at the chapel at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the Rev. James Palmer officiating.

Burial will be at the Dexter Cemetery.
