Vera Wilson

THEBES, Ill. -- Vera M. Wilson, 87, of Thebes died Thursday, March 30, 2006, at her home.

She was born Sept. 10, 1918, at New Port, Ark., daughter of Richard and Alice Eva Ragsdale Turbutt. She married Daniel Franklin Wilson, who died Dec. 30, 1985.

Wilson was a retired factory worker, and member of the Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch, Ill.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Cox and Regina Wilson of Thebes; two brothers, Franklin Deal of Del Rio, Texas, Jerry Deal of Bowling Green, Ky.; two sisters, Louise Ross of Chesterfield, Ill., Betty Stahling of Brighton, Ill.; and two grandchildren, Daniel Cox, and Regina Yoast and husband Nathan.

Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Joshua McKinney officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Thebes.
