FARRAR -- Vera I. Roth, 79, of Farrar died Monday, May 31, 1999, at her home. She was born May 16, 1920, in Perry County, daughter of Dietrich and Emma Lohmann Brueckner. She and Alfred Roth were married Sept. 24, 1939. He died March 4, 1986. Roth was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and its Lutheran Womens Missionary League, Ladies Aid, Senior Servants, Altenburg Senior Citizens and Frohna Fun Club...

FARRAR -- Vera I. Roth, 79, of Farrar died Monday, May 31, 1999, at her home.

She was born May 16, 1920, in Perry County, daughter of Dietrich and Emma Lohmann Brueckner. She and Alfred Roth were married Sept. 24, 1939. He died March 4, 1986.

Roth was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and its Lutheran Womens Missionary League, Ladies Aid, Senior Servants, Altenburg Senior Citizens and Frohna Fun Club.

Survivors include a son, Donald Roth of Farrar; three daughters, Loretta Roth of St. Louis, Luella Powell of Palmyra, Helen Spooler of Jackson; a brother, Marvin Brueckner of Perryville; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five great-step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters, a son, and a daughter.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4 to 9 p.m. today, and Friday from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Salem Church, with the Rev. Robert Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
