NEW HAMBURG -- Vera Louise Steger, 76, of New Hamburg died Monday, Dec. 16, 1991 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 7, 1915 to Albert and Lora Jacobson Rodgers.
On Oct. 26, 1933, she married Leo A. "Bud" Steger in Red Bud, Ill. He survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Jeffrey, Shelby "Skip," and Shannon Steger, all of New Hamburg; one daughter, Sharon Raines of Scott City; one brother, Ralph H. Scheper of Scott City; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was a retired button operator at the Ely Walker factory in Scott City. She was a member of the Illmo Baptist Church in Scott City.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Logan Owens, who raised her; two brothers, two step-brothers, and one step-sister.
Friends may call after 5 tonight at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Scott City with Terry Eades officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
