EAST PRAIRIE -- Vera E. Shively, 90, of East Prairie died Tuesday, Oct. 17, 1995, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
She was born Oct. 7, 1905, at Pratt, Kan., daughter of Herman W. and Lillie M. Snyder Davis. She and Andrew A. Shively were married March 24, 1926, at Cimarron, Kan. He preceded her in death March 9, 1985.
Shively lived most of her life in the East Prairie area and was a member of the First General Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Herman A. Shively of Marshall, Clifford Lee Shively of Mount Vernon, Ill., and Robert Shively of East Prairie; seven daughters, Emma M. Gibson of Fort Collins, Colo., Alice Ownby of Marshall, Delva M. Amoroso of Green Acres, Fla., Mary Louise Jerry of Berlin Center, Ohio, Loretto Bom of Benton, Carolyn Macky of El Cajon, Calif., and Linda C. Brown of Mount Vernon; a brother, O.W. Davis of Paradise, Calif.; three sisters, Nellie Swanson of Geneseo, Ill., Bertha Ricken of Pueblo, Colo., and Mary R. Feeley of Barrington, Ill.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and two grandsons.
Friends may call at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Williams officiating. Burial will be at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
