PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Velma L. Fadler Seabaugh, 92, of St. Charles, Mo., died Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at NHC Health Care in Maryland Heights, Mo.
Mrs. Seabaugh was born Jan. 31, 1918, in Alliance, Mo., to Joseph F. and Etta Robinson Fadler. She married Delmera Seabaugh May 2, 1943, in Sikeston, Mo. He preceded her in death May 21, 1989.
She is survived by two daughters and a son, Anita and the late Harold Lichtenegger of Wappapello, Mo., Sharon (Hugh) Breslin of Basking Ridge, N.J., John (Annette) Seabaugh of St. Charles, Mo.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and seven nieces and nephews.
The Seabaughs lived in Perryville until 1964, when they moved to St. Charles. She worked for McDonnell Douglas (Boeing) in the copy department. After her retirement in 1980, she and Delmera enjoyed traveling around the United States.
Velma took great pleasure in quilting and socializing. She also liked spending time at the St. Charles Senior Citizen's Center where she participated in activities for many years. She loved music; her favorites were church hymns, crossword puzzles and her daily newspaper. She was past president of the Lydia Society at Immanuel Lutheran Church in St. Charles, as well as a member of the Wednesday Bible study group.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and a sister.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday at Baue Funeral Home, 620 Jefferson St., St. Charles.
The funeral will be at noon Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
