VELMA RUTH RISTON

Velma Ruth Riston of Naples, Fla., died Friday, July 19, 1991, at Naples Community Hospital.

Riston, 79, was born Aug. 23, 1911, in McClure, Ill., daughter of Ross Leroy and Mary Myrtle Cleaver Skiles.

She married Cecil Riston on Oct. 5, 1935 in Benton, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1974.

She and her husband lived in Granite City, Ill. a number of years. She has lived in Naples since 1987.

She is survived by a sister, Freda Vredenburgh of Imperial, Mo., and a sister-in-law, Velma Skiles, of Naples, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and six sisters.

Service for Riston will be held Friday at Ford & Sons Sprigg St. Chapel, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Doyle Randol presiding. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery, at McClure, Ill.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
