Velma May Kelley, 83, 1001 S. Kingshighway, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Sept. 21, 1912, in Marion, Ky., daughter of George Washington and Anna Long Watson. She married Curtis A. Kelley. Velma May Kelley, 83, 1001 S. Kingshighway, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1995, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 21, 1912, in Marion, Ky., daughter of George Washington and Anna Long Watson. She married Curtis A. Kelley.

Kelley operated Kelley Store in South Cape 25 years, and was a receptionist eight years at Craftsman Local 1. She was a member of New Life Fellowship Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dwight "Skip" and Fred "Nook" Kelley of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Leona Thompson of Charleston; seven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with Pastor Jack Cathcart officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park.
