Velma Lawrence

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Velma Louise Lawrence, 45, of Sikeston died Sunday, May 29, 2005, at her home.

She was born Aug. 26, 1959, in Scott County, daughter of James and Lucy Reddix Lawrence.

Lawrence lived in Sikeston most of her life. She attended Sikeston High School.

Survivors include her mother; two daughters, Natalia Lawrence of Sikeston, Anjeliqua McNair of Newport News, Va.; a son, Daniel Lawrence of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; three sisters, Minnie Jackson of St. Louis, Barbara Boyd of Panama City, Fla., Linda Carlock of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Fred Townsend of Memphis; and nine grandchildren.

Friends may call at noon Saturday at Greers Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Roy Bonner officiating. The body will be cremated after the service.

Williams Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of arrangements.
