MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Funeral for Velma E. Angel of Union, Mo., will be held at 1 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. The Rev. Luther Rhodes will officiate. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Angel, 78, died Monday, March 5, 2001, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Mo.
She was born March 15, 1922, at Lutesville, Mo., daughter of Dewey and Mary Moreland Eaker. She and Ernest Angel were married Dec. 15, 1938. He died May 6, 1991.
Survivors include two sons, William Angel and Wayne Menke of Union; a brother, Warren Eaker of Meadowbrook, Ill.; five sisters, Lorene Cox of Meadowbrook, Lettie Simmons of Glen Allen, Mo., Dorma Mueller of Alton, Ill., Wilma Bond of Edwardsville, Ill., Mary Bessler of Johnson, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
