PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Veda E. Scott, 91, of Perryville died Oct. 29, 2009, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born in Cascade, Mo., on Jan. 14, 1918, daughter of J.N. and Ada Mae Boyles Myers. She was married July 17, 1942 to Arthur N. Scott, who preceded her in death Dec. 8, 1988.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruth Myers of Perryville and Wanda Bollinger of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; four brothers, Carl Myers of Overland, Mo., Charles Myers of Colorado Springs, Colo., Raymond Myers of Perryville and the Rev. Wayne Myers of Merritt Island, Fla.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Scott was a retired seamstress for the Pixie Playmates Factory. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 133 Auxiliary in Perryville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a stepson, Arthur Scott Jr.; four sisters; and two brothers.
Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Southeast Hospice.
A private burial will be held in the Bloomfield Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
