VEDA MAY

RISCO -- Funeral service for Veda Lee May of Risco will be held at 2 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Parma. The Rev. Ray Rowland will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.

Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to service time.

May, 75, died Monday, March 25, 1996, at Malden Nursing Center.

She was born Oct. 26, 1920, in Grubbs, Ark., daughter of Oscar C. and Mary Della Turner. She and Raymond Walter May were married May 28, 1942, at Malden. He died Jan. 30, 1989.

May lived in Risco from 1939 until moving to the nursing center in 1990. She was a member of General Baptist Church and charter member of the Rural Independent Club, both in Risco.

Survivors include two nephews, Cargene May of Risco and Mitchell Grant of Louisville, Ky.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.
