JACKSON -- V. Cauvey Hartle, 81, of Jackson, died Sunday, April 2, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 3, 1913, in Millersville, son of Verbit B. and Freda Cauvey Hartle.
Hartle was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He was a salesman with Borg-Warner Corp. in Dallas, Texas. He retired in 1981 and moved back to Jackson.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Altenthal-Joerns American Legion Post 158 in Jackson, Masonic Lodge 928 in Mesquite, Texas, and Valley of Dallas Scottish Rite. He was an ensign in the U.S. Navy, serving in Panama during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Hartle of Forney, Texas, Byron Hartle with the U.S. military in Germany; a sister, Pauline Rawlings of Cape Girardeau, and three grandchildren.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
