LEOPOLD, Mo. --Ursula Marie Nenninger, 94, of Leopold, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 19, 1925, at Laflin, Missouri, daughter of Henry and Cornelia VanDorn Steinnerd. LEOPOLD, Mo. --Ursula Marie Nenninger, 94, of Leopold, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 19, 1925, at Laflin, Missouri, daughter of Henry and Cornelia VanDorn Steinnerd. Ursula and Joseph Nenninger were united in marriage April 23, 1946, and he passed away Aug. 29, 1964.

Ursula was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Leopold and Ladies Organization of St. Ann. She also was a personal cook for many years to the priest of St. John's Catholic Church.

Survivors include four sons, Lonnie (Audrey) Nenninger of Leopold, Leo (Cathi) Nenninger of Oran, Missouri, Cyril (Catherine) Nenninger of Leopold and Donald (Tina) Nenninger of Leopold; two daughters, Linda (late Eugene) Stoverink of Leopold and Sheila (Richard) Banville of Jackson; two sisters, Eula VanGennip of Marble Hill, Missouri, and Monica Lewis of Jackson; one daughter in-law, Shiela (Sean) Nenninger James of Leopold; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Joseph Nenninger; son, Tim Nenninger; four sisters, Margaret Elfrink, Gen Elfrink, Winnie Beck and Loretta Arnzen; daughter-in-law, Norma Nenninger; and son-in-law, Eugene Stoverink.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m., with parish prayers at 5 p.m., Thursday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic Church, with the Rev. David Coon officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to the Leopold School Foundation.
