LONGTOWN, Mo. -- Ulysses A. Hemmann, 82, of Longtown died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville, Mo.
He was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Uniontown, Mo., son of Gotfried B. and Emma Kanke Hemmann. He and Verna Weinrich Funke were married Aug. 28, 1966, at Longtown.
Hemmann retired from Ceramo at Jackson. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown, VFW Post 4282 and American Legion Post 133.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.
Survivors include a sister, Erna Bock of Uniontown.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 3 to 7 p.m. today, and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Friday.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church in Longtown, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Longtown or Saxony Lutheran High School.
