TYREE F. BROWN

BELL CITY -- Tyree F. Brown, 71, of Bell City, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 1995, at Advance Nursing and Residential Care Center in Advance.

He was born Jan. 17, 1924, at Bell City, son of B. Rust and Louise Vollmar Brown. He and Frances Eakin were married March 20, 1949, in Bell City.

Brown was owner/operator of Brown's Well Drilling Co. from 1954 until retiring in 1981. He was a Boy Scout leader from 1960-70, and received the Order of Merit Award in 1968. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Fred Brown; a brother, Joseph Brown; two sisters, Mary Brown and Martha Henry, all of Bell City, and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4-9 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery near Aquilla.
