Truman Weston Waddle, 89, of Whitewater passed away Sunday, Aug. 14, 2016, at his home, surrounded by his loving family and caregivers.

He was born March 25, 1927, in Allenville, Missouri, to the late Jake and Mable Carrie Sullinger Waddle. He married Betty Lou Schlosser on Oct. 17, 1947, and she preceded him in death Oct. 26, 2015.

Truman was a machinist with Superior Electric in Cape Girardeau. He worked for the maintenance department for Drury Industry until retiring. He belonged to Fairview General Baptist Church near Advance, Missouri. He belonged to the Whitewater Masonic Lodge No. 417 AF & AM. Truman was a fireman first class for the United States Navy, serving from 1945 until 1946, during the occupation in the Pacific.

Survivors include three sons, Michael L. Waddle, Randy J. (Gleni) Waddle and Terry W. Waddle, all of Whitewater; four grandchildren, Tammy Statler, Michelle Beal, Jason W. Waddle and Jessi Moore; and five great-grandchildren, Lyndsey, Carrie, Joshua, Ryleigh and Everly.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Ivis, and two grandsons.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee, Missouri.

Whitewater Masonic Lodge No. 417 AF & AM service will be at noon Wednesday at the chapel, with the funeral service to follow. Brother Ray Greenlee and Brother Earl Elfrink will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Advance, with full military Honors.
