DEXTER -- Funeral service for Truman Biggerstaff of St. Louis will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Vaughn Wright will officiate, with burial in Dexter Cemetery.

Biggerstaff, 90, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997, at his home.

He was born Nov. 21, 1907, in Enfield, Ill., son of Frank and Ella Veatch Biggerstaff. He and Lucille Daniel were married Sept. 1, 1934, at Dexter.

Formerly of Dexter, he moved to St. Louis in 1943. He worked at Carter Carburetor Co. from 1943 until retiring in 1972.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Gene Biggerstaff of St. Louis; three sisters, Veneta Smith of Hesperia, Calif., Lois Arnold and Frances McDaniel of Indianapolis, Ind.; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.
