SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Trudie L. Nelson of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Fellowship Baptist Church. The Rev. Dolan Rogers will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery here.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Sikeston after 5 p.m. today.

Nelson, 87, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1991, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born Dec. 8, 1904, in Tupelo, Miss., daughter of Robert Mannon and Gaira Towery Cox. She married Luke H. Nelson Feb. 11, 1933, in Osceola, Ark. He preceded her in death.

Nelson was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Carl Trussel of Trumann, Ark., Thomas Nelson of Palating, Ill.; a daughter, Louise Burger of St. Charles; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren, and three great-stepgrandchildren.
