MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Troy Nathan Patton, 91, of Marble Hill died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Eldercare of Marble Hill.
He was born June 19, 1917, in Bollinger County, son of Charles A. and Vallie Lincoln Patton. He first married Lora Sheppard. He and Ruth Williams were married in 1956.
Patton was a brakeman and conductor with Frisco Railroad from 1944 to 1972. He was then a cabinet maker 30 years in Glenallen, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Shirley Prosser of Edwardsville, Ill., Shelby Slinkard of Marion, Ill.; two sons, Darrell Patton of Springdale, Ark., Roy Patton of Wood River, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Betty Williams of Brookfield, Mo., Karen Hayes of Dexter, Mo.; two stepsons, Willis Williams of Greenville, Mo., Jerry Williams of Chaffee, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nine stepgrandchildren; and 16 great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time Monday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Watis Harrell officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
