Troy Dean Hendrix, 72, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at his home. He was born Sept. 23, 1942, son of Troy I. and Lala V. "Sue" Pennebaker Hendrix. He and Kay Jones were married April 2, 1965. She survives. Troy was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. He worked several years at Brennecke Chevrolet in Jackson as the collision repair manager. Troy owned and operated Hendrix Body and Frame in Fruitland and Hendrix Classic Vehicles in Sedgewickville, Missouri. He retired in 2010...

Troy Dean Hendrix, 72, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at his home.

He was born Sept. 23, 1942, son of Troy I. and Lala V. "Sue" Pennebaker Hendrix. He and Kay Jones were married April 2, 1965. She survives.

Troy was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church. He worked several years at Brennecke Chevrolet in Jackson as the collision repair manager. Troy owned and operated Hendrix Body and Frame in Fruitland and Hendrix Classic Vehicles in Sedgewickville, Missouri. He retired in 2010.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Kay; daughter, Ginger (Jason) Dailey of Sedgewickville; son, Chris Hendrix of Jackson; three grandchildren, Alyssa and Jensen Dailey and Devon Rhea; mother, Lala "Sue" Hendrix of Oak Ridge; two brothers, Gary (Donna) Hendrix of Fruitland and Stephen (Marcia) Hendrix of Jackson; two sisters, Rosalee Hendrix and Becky (Ken) Eftink of Cape Girardeau; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father and a nephew, Nick Hendrix.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Brother Josh Tillman officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
