Funeral service for Troy Lee Clayton Jr. of Caruthersville was held Tuesday at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. The Rev. Dale Rickman officiated, with burial in Stanfield Cemetery.

Clayton, 31, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 1997, in an automobile accident in Portageville.

He was born May 17, 1966, in Memphis, Tenn., son of Troy Lee and Mary Louise Gibbins Clayton.

Survivors include a son, Brian Clayton, a daughter, Jessica Clayton, both of Blytheville, Ark.; seven sisters, Corina Skelton of Senath, Lavonda Young of Texas, Patricia Isaac of Cape Girardeau, Candace Collins of Cabot, Ark., Kitty Durbin of Jackson, Penny Ward of Indiana, Margie Wheatley of Jackson; and his fiancee, Stephanie Hawn of Caruthersville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
