PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Travis M. Koenig, 24, of Perryville died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2017, in Perry County, Missouri.
He was born Nov. 5, 1992, in Cape Girardeau, son of Russell Mark and Mary Ann (Winschel) Koenig. The parents survive in Perryville.
He was a maintenance technician at Unilever in Sikeston, Missouri. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. He was an avid hunter and loved life and the outdoors.
Other survivors include two sisters, Janel Koenig and Marissa Koenig, both of Perryville; his maternal grandfather, Bernard Winschel; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Margery J. Winschel; his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Eunice Koenig; and an uncle, Kenneth Koenig.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville, with rosary at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan, C.M., officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Apple Creek, Missouri.
Memorials are preferred to St. Vincent Schools, Immanuel Lutheran School or Birthright.
