LULING, Texas -- Tom Brown "Tommy" Webb III, 53, of Luling joined the band of angels as he passed from this life into the eternal Sunday, April 28, 2013.
A loving husband, caring father, faithful friend and talented guitar player, Tommy's legacy will long be remembered by a host of family and friends.
Tommy created friendships everywhere he went, and over his years and journeys touched the lives of many with his outgoing personality, humor and concern. While he endured challenges and obstacles that would deter others, Tommy kept his head high and his commitment to friends and family paramount.
Tommy was born Dec. 19, 1959, to Tom Brown Webb Jr. and Janell Waller Webb. He grew up in Luling and graduated from Luling High School with the Class of 1978. An avid outdoorsman and gifted musician, Tommy grew up hunting, fishing and working on the Webb Ranch just outside Luling. After his marriage to Elaine Martha Beussink in November 1997, he built a house on the family land he grew up on.
With several bands, Tommy enjoyed playing guitar, writing songs and jamming with friends. He loved music of all types, with a special passion for the blues. Tommy made his living as a salesman. He was a member of First United Methodist Church, was on the board of directors for the Zedler Mill Foundation Inc., and served on the Tom Brown Webb IV Scholarship Committee.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Luling; daughters Tori Webb and Tracie Wrape of Luling, Ashley Wrape of Houston; a granddaughter, Olivia DuBose of Luling; his parents, Brownie and Janell Webb of Luling; a sister and brother-in-law, Wendy and Lee Reynolds of Luling; a niece, Whitney Abel and husband Robby of Lockhart, Texas; a nephew, Walter Reynolds of Luling; and great-nephews, Wesley Abel and Dylan Abel of Lockhart.
He was preceded in death by a son, Tom Brown Webb IV.
Family and friends will join in the celebration of the life of Tommy at 10 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church in Luling, with the Rev. Judith Sellers officiating. Interment will be in Luling Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Trey Bailey, Pat Forrester, Michael Bienek, Billy Webb, Mitchell Flemming, Terry Dekle, Lee Reynolds and Walter Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers include Robert Salazar, Jack Vick Jr., Rob Maley, Joe Marva, Rick Holroyd, Philip Rader, Todd Varian, Russell Hendricks and Robby Abel.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of O'Bannon Funeral Home in Luling.
